Our Shop
Our modern garden-inspired dispensary will carry a variety of premium cannabis products including flower, concentrates, edibles and accessories - which will be available for in-store purchase, easy online ordering/pickup and future plans of home delivery. We will accept cash, pin debit and online ACH (aka secure bank transfer).
Customers will be able to shop our live menu and purchase cannabis from wherever, whenever and get it when it’s most convenient.

The Deo’s Garden brand pays tribute to one of the oldest deities in ancient civilization. Known as the goddess of agriculture, Demeter (aka Deo) guaranteed the fertility of the earth and protected both farming and vegetation, which sustained mankind with the earth’s rich bounty.

Meet The Team
Joshua Perez
Founder & President
Operations, Projects and Strategy
Joshua Perez, one of Deo’s Garden Founders, brings 13 years of technology, project management, economic analysis, operations, and capital markets experience to the Deo’s Garden team. Josh will oversee operations, economic strategy, and project management initiatives.
Joshua Perez has lived in Teaneck, NJ since 1986. He attended Teaneck High School where he played basketball for the Teaneck Highwaymen from 2002-2004. Josh earned his bachelors and MBA degrees from William Patterson University with Magna Cum Laude honors. He is currently a mentor in the Will Pesce Mentor Institute at William Paterson University guiding WPU undergrads navigate their career.
Josh’s cannabis journey began when his mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1994. After 10 years of pharmaceutical treatment and healthcare, Josh’s mom kept getting worse. That’s when Josh’s mom turned towards cannabis. She immediately noticed the benefits on her health and wellbeing. Josh found a passion for cannabis and it’s positive impacts it can have on the world. The rest is history.

Joe Spiegel
Co-Founder
Digital Experiences
Joe Spiegel, a co-founder of Deo’s Garden, will oversee technology, security and compliance activities. He brings over 12 years of experience maintaining security and compliance in regulated, global markets. Joe will leverage his leadership experience and technology background to bring speed, efficiency and convenience to Deo’s Garden and its customers.
Joe is a Teaneck, New Jersey native where he’s lived for the majority of his life and he credits the community for helping raise him the right way and preparing him for adulthood. As a former athlete, Joe played basketball for Teaneck HS and helped win a state championship in 2003. He then played four years of college basketball at William Paterson University, helping lead his team to the elite 8 of the D3 NCAA tournament in his sophomore season. After graduating college, Joe played professionally overseas in Colombia, South America for two years before returning to the US to start his career in technology.
As a cannabis user and connoisseur himself, Joe advocates for smart, measured and responsible use of the plant. Through Deo’s Garden, he is excited to share his experiences and enrich his community with education, job opportunities, quality products and a delightful retail experience.
Jonah Smith
Co-Founder
Finance & Accounting
Jonah, one of the co-founders of Deo’s Garden, will focus on the finance and development activities related to Deo’s Garden. He specializes in finance, marketing, data and analytics. He currently works with leading manufacturers in aerospace, automotive and technology to develop sales and operational plans that raise industry standards and add ongoing value for customers.
Jonah is a dedicated contributor to his local community of Teaneck, NJ. He currently directs and runs a scholarship fund that specifically supports annual scholarships for students of color graduating from Teaneck High School, who have been impacted by a family member's battle with cancer.
Jonah is a recognized, award winning and highly experienced manufacturing engineering professional. He was named “Top 30 under 30” by Manufacturing Engineering Media and has also been awarded Dale Carnegie’s Highest Achiever Award for his leadership skills and development of others. He has been recognized for his management, operational and leadership excellence throughout his career as demonstrated by his many awards.
Jonah is a Six Sigma certified leader with expertise in customer service excellence, optimization of operations, and increasing productivity to thereby increase profitability. His goals for Deo’s Garden are to grow his local community, exceed customer expectations, create jobs and help those directly impacted by the “War on Drugs”.
